Apostolate of the Order
Evangelization, Teaching and the Promotion of Christian Culture
Every Brother is called to the Apostolic life founded upon his own profession of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his resurrection. As such, the Brother is called to bear witness to Christ and the Kingdom of God, through his commitment to live a life according to the teachings of Christ in the Gospel. As such, the Brother is called to a life of Evangelization and most especially through his commitment to a penitential life and the practice of the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
Further, as St. Willibrord, who is known as the "Apostle to the Frisians," was a Benedictine missionary who converted the pagans in that region of Europe to Christianity, the Brothers are called to be missionaries to the secular world and to evangelize through education. The Order also promotes the advancement of the highest ideals of Christian culture and its engagement with the modern world in the arts and sciences.
